Cup Anemometer Classifications
We offer full IEC 61400-12-1:2017 compliant classifications of cup anemometers.
Our experimental procedures have been developed in collaboration with DTU Wind Energy (Technical University of Denmark), and count:
- Rotor torque characteristic tests
- Bearing friction tests at temperatures -20 to 40 deg. C.
- Tilt response tests
- Yaw sensitivity tests
Furthermore, the classification includes:
- Numerical simulation of anemometer response using software verified by DTU and compliant with the requirements of IEC 61400-12-1:2017, Annex J.
- Full documentation of tests and reporting final class indices for classes A, B, C and D.
Accreditation to ISO 17025:2017 is ongoing. Completion expected by August, 2020.
